gbk at Hong Kong International Art Fair, 25 - 29 May 2011

gbk is pleased to announce our participation in the Hong Kong International Art Fair, from 25 -29 May.

We will be on the main Galleries floor, booth 1G05.

Congratulations…

Debra Dawes’ large scale painting Complete?, executed during Open Studio: Untitled, her performative occupation of the gbk project space for the first half of 2010, has been acquired by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.

Grant Stevens has been awarded one of the four new commissions for Australian artists to celebrate the opening of the expanded and refurbished Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, in March 2012. Congratulations also to Brooke Andrew, Hany Armanious, and Emily Floyd!


International flights….

Keep your eyes out for Sean Cordeiro & Claire Healy’s major installation Future Remnant at Art 42 Basel, in Nature Morte’s booth, from 15 to 19 June.

A mini-documentary about Deborah Kelly’s work Tank Man Tango: A Tiananmen Memorial is screening at the tenth anniversary Dance Camera West festival in Los Angeles. Jess MacNeil and Grant Stevens have work in New Age: New Media, a touring exhibition taking place in multiple venues across China during May and June. You can catch New Age: New Media at Yuanboyuan Jinan International Art Exhibition Centre from 21 May to 6 June, Art Hangzhou Expo from 26 to 30 May, Sichuan Fine Art Academy Art Gallery from 1 June to 5 July, Songzhuang Art Museum (Beijing International New Media Art Exhibition) from 18 June-30 August.
